As adults we spend so much of our waking hours in our work environment, it is no surprise that workplace stressors or unhappiness can lead to stress and unhappiness at home as well. When we are stressed or unhappy at work, the negative feelings can manifest in physical, emotional and spiritual distress. Additionally, because the situation is “only a work situation,” we may inadvertently allow the stress to go on for far longer than is good for us, because we minimize the effect the stress is actually having on us. Working through stress or conflicts in our workplace can reduce our stress level and increase our ability to be happy not only at work, but at home as well.
