Transitions come to us all—
A move to a new place,
The beginning or the end of a marriage,
A new job or the loss of one,
The birth of a child,
An accident or illness,
A child leaving home
The death of a family member,
Retirement, to name a few.
Such challenges sometimes seem too much to face alone.
Imagine . . . healing in a safe, supportive, nurturing, environment,
learning and growing in the company of other women,
discovering that you are much more than you ever dreamed you could be.
This group is open to women of any age or stage who would like the support of other women in dealing with life issues. Each person will have the opportunity to explore her own issues in a supportive, confidential atmosphere. Various creative expressions may be used to lead toward deeper understandings and greater appreciation of ourselves as women. The group will meet on Wednesday evenings from 7:00 to 8:30 and will be on-going, meaning that over time persons may join or leave, but regular attendance is expected while one is a member of the group.
The group will be led by The Rev. Kathie Kurtz, D.Min., L.P.C. at the Fairfax Office of Center for Pastoral Counseling of Virginina. A group rate sliding scale will be used. For more information call her at 703-903-9696nX 294
