Nancy Scott

nancyNANCY M. SCOTT, LCSW is a licensed clinical social worker who received her M.S.W. degree from the University of Louisville in 1980. She has been a psychotherapist in Northern Virginia since 1986. Prior to that she worked in a variety of settings providing services to individuals and families, including foster care, adolescent group homes and a psychiatric hospital.

Nancy specializes in working with severe and chronic depression and other mood disorders, survivors of suicide, marriages in crisis due to an affair, women’s issues, families under stress because of mental illness and/or substance abuse, and parenting issues.  She works with adolescents and adults of all ages and stages of life.  She has received training in the Prepare/Enrich curriculum for couples, and uses that in working with couples who are seeking premarital counseling.

Nancy also enjoys giving community presentations on a variety of topics, and is available to speak to churches and community groups. She works in Springfield and Alexandria and can be reached at voice mail extension 207.
