Dominique Peridans, MA, MS, LGPC

Dominique Peridans, MA, MS, LGPC, brings a wealth of experience to the sacred art of counseling. Dominique believes that practical, life wisdom sets us free. His goal is to assist in discovering such wisdom, in the light of which good, healthy choices can be made. Indeed, truth and love are what make us human beings happy. Dominique is especially comfortable working with those challenged by loss/grief, depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, sexual orientation issues, difficult relationships, church discernment, and questions of spirituality.

Dominique’s academic and work experience includes an undergraduate degree in Psychology, 3 years with the L’Arche community (for adults with mental disabilities) in Brussels, Belgium, 14 years with a French monastic community, and, recently, a Master of Science in Pastoral Counseling from Loyola University, Maryland. Dominique was ordained to the priesthood in the Roman Catholic tradition in 1996. He will be sharing these spiritual and pastoral gifts in the Episcopal Church starting in 2014. He thus brings to the counseling relationship many years of enthusiastic pastoral experience, and a deep sense of the Divine Presence. A practitioner of yoga, he is particularly sensitive to the holistic nature of life, a sensitivity evidenced in his approach to counseling.

Dominique enjoys leading spiritual retreats and facilitating workshops on topics from forgiveness to discernment of true goals to building self-confidence. Of Belgian parents, Dominique is bi-lingual in English and French, and is thus equally comfortable working with Francophone clients.
