Conflict Management

At times no matter how intelligent and competent we are, we may find ourselves embroiled in a conflict that we cannot resolve. It may feel like at this point “we are not having the fight but the fight is having us.” When involved in such conflicts, whether they be at work, at school or within our personal relationships, we may feel we have lost control of the situation, and that there is little hope of ever finding common ground. At such times, a counselor trained in conflict management can help one or both parties come to some resolution, compromise or understanding of their situation. Even if all parties involved in a conflict will not attend counseling, and only one person involved goes for help, this can still help to resolve the conflict. The following counselors work with conflict management:

Lena Aburdene (Arlington, Washington DC)

Kasey Best (McLean, Sterling)

Suzanne Doherty (Annandale, Fairfax)

Carey Gauzens (Alexandria)

Heather Guthrie-Hoey (Dale City)

Kathie Kurtz (Fairfax, Manassas)

Gary McMichael (McLean, Sterling)

Kevin Ogle (Arlington, Falls Church)

Susette Ritenour (Fairfax, Manassas)

Francine Ronis (Falls Church, McLean)
